a blackberry is different from regular cell phones because it is more "business" based, it allows you to have all your email accounts to be forwarded to your phone, so getting a blackberry you'd have to get the data plan, its only like $30 a month. it also allows you to surf the internet easier than an ordinary phone. And the new every two years is for all verizon customers, except for the primary phone on a plan where they get a new phone every year.
