What does "3G mobile data (1 GB)" with the Smartphone Plan from Cricket mean?

Alright, so I just got the Smartphone Plan from Cricket and in my data section of my plan is says: "3G mobile data (1 GB)" does that mean I can only download that many things in a month? Or is there another factor? What does "3G mobile data (1 GB)" with the Smartphone Plan from Cricket mean?
3G Mobile Data 1GB is telling you two things:

The first being that you have 3G mobile data. What 3G mobile data is, is mobile broadband. It's faster than the typical "Edge" connection speeds.

Secondly, it's telling you that you have 1GB of bandwidth to use per month. Every time you go onto a website, home computer or cell phone, you're using some "bandwidth." Most internet service providers have unlimited bandwidth for computers, but cell phones typically have limits, yours being 1 GB.

Don't download a lot of things while you're on the go, try to use WiFi while you can, and you should never go over your 1GB limit.
