How to play media from android/smartphone to windows movie maker?
Im trying to make a movie from the videos on my smartphone using windows movie maker (not windows LIVE movie maker). the problem is it wont load the videos.
This is what i did:

The biggest reason I can think of is to save battery life. If you talk on the phone allot then you risk not having power for your MP3 player when you want it or vice-versa.
I also like to keep a separate MP3 player from my phone for when I have a party because plug my MP3 player into my stereo for the party and I don't want to stop the music if I need to use the phone.

The EVO is getting old, a good phone, but it has been out for a year... I am surprised Sprint still sells it. There are MANY other options that are better for your money and since you will be signing up for a two year contract you may as well get a phone you will be happy with for the WHOLE two years.

Here are some good smart phones with different price ranges in order of priority I would choose if I were to buy a new smart phone:
1)iphone 3gs 16gb: The most expensive smart phone available for at%26amp;t. (due to its expensive monthly service). This phone to me is the "anything and everything" phone, because it can do anything and everything. The apps are also a huge plus because there are so many possibilities you can have with apps from the itunes store. Such as games, books, map navigator and music apps for example. Since you HAVE to buy unlimited internet for this phone, you can go on the internet anytime you want!
Cost:$200, or $100 for an 8gb.
-$30 extra monthly service required for unlimited data; internet
2)HTC Fuze: This is another expensive phone. Though, extra monthly internet service is not required. It has slide out qwerty board and microsoft office suite!Though, it is very bulky...

3)Black Berry Bold: Expensive phone with a sleek design and brilliant display screen. Plus, its a Black Berry! Great for mail.

I'm trying to decide whether to get a cellular card for my laptop or a smartphone (blackberry/treo/etc) so I can have internet access while traveling in Southeast Asia. I know I will have cell phone coverage where I am going. Specifically, I'm looking for email access, and the ability to download large document files.

if the cellular contract you plan on using is bought from your home country, you will need to activate an international roaming service. Remember to ask your provider about internet connectivity %26amp; email.
The alternative to international roaming which could turn out as very costly is to get a prepaid data cellular service from a local service provider in the country where you will be visiting. Also if you do this there will be less complications regarding international roaming for data services which is very common.
Then, you mentioned the need to download or receive large files via email.. If you are sure that a PDA handset can accommodate for these files in terms of size %26amp; compatibility, go with the PDA rather than a laptop. The laptop does have more capabilities with regard to softwares %26amp; functionality but it is much bigger %26amp; cant be carried about in a jacket pocket.
I think your biggest problem will be getting a service provider with data connectivity from your home country who can provide international roaming for data.

In my experience they're excellent phones so long as you get a premium model. And in order to make the best of them you must save your contacts etc onto google's cloud, so if you exchange your phone for another android (or even an iphone, thanks to an app) in the future, your contacts will remain intact.

I tried HTC, Sony's, nokias, and yet they dont come anywhere close to the I-phone 3gs!! The Desire and x10 will both get android 2.1 update around september which will get some lovely new features. i have used alot of phones and have fixed many more! iphones are a lovely phones but they are more fashion than technology. i have fixed alot off iphones very prone to screen brakes and touch pad problems.What is the best smartphone for the internet and apps in the UK?

Well....honestly, it depends on what your preferance is...since you've stated your age, im assuming you like texting or at least are getting into it..., I would normally recommend the Android phone, but it doesn't have a keyboard....For you I would go with the Motorola Devour that just came out, It has pretty much everyone you could want at 15 ....they should have called the phone "Motobutterfly" (social butterfly).....
The Motorola Devour like syncs your Facebook, MySpace, Twitter...all in one....so lets say you want to let people know what your doing at one time....rather than stating the fact on 3 different apps or websites, simply say what you need to say once and be done with it; it automatically updates on all 3 networking sites as to your status or "comment" you want to leave.
I don't have the Motorola devour myself, but it reminds me of the TMobile Sidekick..., ive seen the device from a friend, and it's actually good size/weight differential, its an android phone so it deffinately has that IPhone feel to it in the sense that it's a touch screen and includes a "Store" for purchasing content/games/music/ringtones....mind you, Android Market has thousands of free apps already avaliable just for having the droid phone. ....sweeett...

I want to switch from a PDA to a smartphone. I currently have the Palm TX and feel it's time to combine cell phone with PDA. I'm ruling out Palm, Apple and Microsoft smartphones and MS Outlook (I would prefer to use a Palm Desktop equivalent).

I don't think your going to have many options with the restrictions that you have placed. Most of the devices that I have looked at you will be using if you want a desktop based option.

I don't know who your cellular provider is, but the Centro (Sprint) looks very nice, and the Treo 680 is also a very nice smartphone, although some people add an extended battery.

Check out the new palms...I had the pre for a month and in my opinion the new palm operating system is very underrated. automatically syncs all your contacts and the phone is super easy to use and has pretty intuitive gestures. second to that I would say iphone, android is more for the geek or power user and blackberry os isn't up to par. Palm has two phones out the pre and pixi. The pixi is a slimmer, sleeker, and smaller version of the pre without the sliding mechanism but it's a little slower and it doesn't have wifi and the screens a bit smaller. If you can live without all that, I'd recommend the pixi, if not get the pre. Sprints plans are cheap to compared to verizon and att. Btw, buy it on amazon for 25 bucks don't go to the store or it'll cost you 100.

I am planning to buy a new smartphone and really confused between 4S and S2. I don't own any smartphone but what I am looking in a phone is great music and video quality and better gaming effects. Phone's Internal Memory!?
Ok. This has been driving me INSANE and I'm at my wits end here! I have a Smartphone, LG Optimus T. I keep getting notifications that my Phone Storage Space is Getting Low. When my Phones Internal Memory gets low I can usually just move stuff from my phone to the SD Card to make space.
Now, though, I'm getting the message again and I have NOTHING that I can move over! Under Manage Applications I've gone through all my apps and they're already on my SD.
Does anyone know if there is a way I can actually see what's saved into my phones internal memory so I can go ahead and move/delete things!? In the current state its in I can even send/receive text messages.
Also i downloaded some games from the Android Market. Tbw games saved directly to the SD Card yet still ate up a chunk of my phones Internal Memory. Why is that?

So, I used to have AT%26amp;T and the bill was crazy with my blackberry bold. I was wondering if I went out and brought a prepaid sim card if my blackberry would still run the same? I know there would be some differences, I would be getting a smartphone sim card as well, but AT%26amp;T said my phone wouldn't work the same, like the programs wouldn't work. I figured they said that because they were trying to get me to go back to the monthly paying of it. I wanted to know if anyone else has tried this, and what your opinion was on it. I was thinking about getting up to date with the times and getting a smart phone. However I would most likely have to just be on my own plan.
