What kind of computer in the past would most closely resemble the performance of a modern smartphone?

I want to relate the CPU and graphics power of the iPhone 4 for example to a desktop computer in the past that would have had similar performance. How much power am I holding in my hand? (when I'm holding an iPhone 4 that is!)What kind of computer in the past would most closely resemble the performance of a modern smartphone?
This Is Close (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ib鈥?/a> Its .2 Ghz More Though. What kind of computer in the past would most closely resemble the performance of a modern smartphone?
Pentium 3, 1 ghz. The graphics card should be something in the low profile $60 range with HD support.
